Pottery Surface Design with Steven Showalter!

Are you interested in infusing texture into your work?
Join Ceramic Artist Steven Showalter at the Crossings Art Center as he shows you how to take your ceramic work to the next level using slip, stamps and textured roller techniques.
Using simple tools, Steven will show attendees how to mix slip, discuss colored slip, and show various slip decorating techniques, including patterns and dot applications. Steven will also demonstrate creative uses for stamps and textured rollers. Attendees will learn how to get the most out of adding texture to their work to enhance their own style and work with their glazes.
Steven will be providing a list of favorite slip/texture tools and recipes. Leave with many new ideas to try!
