June Intro to the Wheel class
June 20 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Join us in the lower level clay studio for a fun night on the wheel. Whether you have had some experience on the wheel or never tried it – this class is for you! We’ll will guide you in the process of creating 1 – 2 pieces, you’ll select the glaze you like and we will trim and fire them for you and have them ready for pick-up in 2 – 3 weeks! This class is great for beginners, we will cover the basics of centering clay, opening and pulling a wall to create little bowls, cups or whatever you envision.
This class will be led by Virginia Cooper, owner of the clay studio and potter with over 6 years experience. Her patient and fun guidance will help you come away from the class with success at creating on the wheel. She has all kinds of tips and tricks to share so you can relax and enjoy the process!
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting muddy, make sure you put your hair up, remove jewelry, rings or watches and trim fingernails. We will have a few aprons and plenty of towels for clean-up. Feel free to bring a friend, bring a beverage of your choice and let’s have fun!
