Beginning Wood Carving with Kevin Ewing

Join us in welcoming Kevin Ewing to Crossings! If you have ever wanted to try wood carving, now is your chance. Kevin is a retired teacher, whose passions include detailed wood carving, building custom furniture, millwork, antique restoration and even a bird house or two. Registration includes everything you need to try wood carving and take your ideas into form. We’ll be working with beech wood, which is a softer wood and great for learning. All supplies are included in your class fee: a set of beginning carving tools, a table top jig to brace your project, block of beech wood. Bring your ideas and inspirations and let’s get started! Projects may not be completed during the two hour class, you’ll get plenty of hands on instruction and everything you need to complete your project at home.
