SUMMARY:Open Mic Sunday Afternoon
DESCRIPTION:Our house band will start off with a few tunes\, then invite players to come up and jam with us on a few well known classic rock and blues tunes. (No more than three\, maybe four chords\, we promise). Bring your own charts or if you know the chord changes and want a back up band – we’re here. We’ll take a break and then invite solo performers\, poets and story tellers to the stage. After that – depends on who shows up and what everyone wants to play\, we’re up for it!We’ll have a clipboard for sign up to make sure everyone gets a chance on stage. No hot dogs allowed! But the place is dog friendly. Bring your own beverages. No smoking on the premises or within 25 feet of the entrance. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBring your voice\, your talents and shake off the stage fright and show us what you’ve got! We have a PA set up\, drum set\, microphones and keyboard ready to go. Bring your own guitar & cord and plug into the PA or bring your own amp. If you have a song to sing\, a poem or story to tell – welcome! \n\n\n\nWe’ll have Open Mic on the last Sunday of every month\, except December.

SUMMARY:Batik Bee with Julie Yost
DESCRIPTION:Batik is an ancient art form of layering wax and colorful dyes onto fabric\, then removing the wax to reveal beautiful works of art. We’ll spend our time immersed in creating beautiful Batik masterpieces! We’ll have everything you need\, fabric\, wax\, dyes and all the supplies. Just bring your ideas and Julie will guide us through the process. With plenty of space for the dye baths\, painting/ waxing tables and ironing areas set up for the weekend\, let us manage the mess! \n\n\n\nTwo great days of creative bliss! Thursday Oct 24th and Friday Oct 25th. Come for one or both days! \n\n\n\nEnjoy a deep dive into this beautiful artform! The only things you need to bring are your ideas! (And maybe some snacks 🙂 The coffee pot will be on and hot water ready for tea\, make some new friends and have a great time learning this ancient fabric technique. All supplies are included. We’ll have pretreated fabric on hand\, and plenty of ideas to help get you started. \n\n\n\nThis will be the last Batik Bee of the season!
