DESCRIPTION:Join us in the lower level clay studio for a fun night on the pottery wheel. Whether you have had some experience on the wheel or never tried it – this class is for you! \n\n\n\nWe’ll will guide you in the process of creating 1 – 2 pieces\, you’ll select the glaze you like and we will trim and fire them for you and have them ready for pick-up in 2 – 3 weeks.  \n\n\n\nWe’re so fortunate to have Polly Noll in the clay studio\, with over 20 years of experience and a patient\, fun attitude\, you’ll be in good hands to have success of the wheel. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMore about Polly here \n\n\n\nWear clothes you don’t mind getting muddy\, make sure you put your hair up\, remove jewelry\, rings or watches and trim fingernails. We will have a few aprons and plenty of towels for clean-up. Extra pieces (more than 2 each) are $4 each.Feel free to bring a friend\, bring a beverage of your choice and let’s have fun!Please note – use the red door on the north side of the building\, on West 3rd street.

SUMMARY:Ceramic Flowers for Spring! 4/26 or 5/2
DESCRIPTION:Join us in the lower level clay studio to make these amazing ceramic flowers! We’ll create our petals by hand and join them together to make beautiful fantasy flowers just in time for spring. Each finished flower will be 6-8″ across. They can be hung on the wall or adapted to be a candleholder for a tea light sized candle. \n\n\n\nNo experience necessary\, we’ll guide you step by step. We’ll paint the flowers using colorful underglazes during the class\, then they will be fired and clear glazed and ready for pick up in 2-3 weeks! \n\n\n\nTwo offerings for this class – if you can’t make it April 26th\, we’ve added another date on May 2nd! SUMMARY:Pottery Two\, Saturdays May 9th through May 30th
DESCRIPTION:Join us in the lower level clay studio\, for four weeks of immersion into wheel thrown pottery! With hands on learning and guidance from our instructor Brooke Szweda\, you will build on your skills from Pottery 1 and continue creating on the wheel\, refining your work with surface design\, handles\, lids and more. \n\n\n\nThis class is for anyone who has taken Pottery 1 at Crossings or for intermediate level potters looking for more experience in refining their work and creating consistent forms. We’ll be working with different glazing techniques and surface design for textures\, which have more opportunities for creativity. \n\n\n\nYou’ll build new skills and have fun in our community studio where everyone is welcome! \n\n\n\n\nTeapot by Lillian Daph \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll supplies included\, a personal shelf space during the class and use of all tools and supplies you need for success. During the class we will also have open studio times available for an additional fee for non-members\, so you can practice the skills you learned in class. DESCRIPTION:Join us in the lower level clay studio for this fun handbuilding class. We’ll be making little wall altars\, a cozy place to display your treasures. Inspired by Mexican Ofrendas\, these wall altars can also be a place for remembrance of loved ones\, with photos or cherished items.  \n\n\n\nFun and easy to make\, no experience needed\, adults and teens. All supplies included to make one\, finished size approx 10 – 12″ tall.  \n\n\n\nItems will be dried slowly before bisque firing to avoid cracking the shelves.
